5. Version

Version means that a work has been released in more than one form. Examples of a version that you would include in your citation are:

  • Book edition, like revised edition or a numbered edition (second or third edition)
  • E-book edition
  • Software version
  • Movie version, like a director's cut
  • Music version, like a radio edit

Often, there is not a version that you need to include, and if that is the case, skip to the next element.
